Pulsed compact

Field-reversed configuration

Two plasmoids.
One collision.

A compact, self-organized plasma with its magnetic field reversed inside. Helion slams two of them together and harvests electricity from the changing field. TAE holds one with particle beams and aims at hydrogen-boron.

Watch the two rings breathe toward the midplane. That pulse is the product.

How it works

Linear, pulsed, compact.

No doughnut the size of a house. A tube. Coils. Two smoke-rings of plasma. Fusion in the middle — then do it again.

01

Form

Each end of the machine makes a field-reversed plasmoid — a compact torus of plasma carrying its own field.

02

Collide

They accelerate, merge, and heat. Helion’s Polaris path uses deuterium–helium-3 and tries to skip the steam turbine.

03

Or sustain

TAE’s Norman/Copernicus path beams particles into an FRC and is chasing aneutronic p-B11 fuel — fewer neutrons, different engineering.
